Robin Penty
Robin joined the OCRF as CEO in February 2023, the third in the organisation’s history.
Robin has three decades of experience and expertise in government advocacy, donor and consumer programs, business development, strategic communications, research translation and fundraising. She is now responsible for leading the vision, direction and strategy for the OCRF in its key focus areas of grant-making for medical research, awareness-raising, advocacy, and community engagement. As such, she plays a vital role in supporting a healthy future for all women, girls and people experiencing the painful impact of an ovarian cancer diagnosis.
Robin has held key roles within several national for-purpose organisations, government agencies and respected cultural institutions. These include The Smith Family, Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, University of Melbourne, Arts Centre Melbourne, and the Alcohol and Drug Foundation. Over this time, Robin has raised millions of dollars, and negotiated dozens of partnerships for a diverse range of important causes: medical and preventative health research; environmental science; education; arts, culture and civic design; for disadvantaged youth and marginalised communities; and in social science and policy projects.
Robin has completed the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme with distinction. She presents to national and international audiences as an inspiring keynote speaker and thought leader about communications that engage people, change systems, and increase women’s participation and health.
